Watercolorist Holly Storman at the PhelpsThe Phelps Mansion Museum presents the art work of watercolorist Holly Storman. Mrs. Storman paints a variety of subjects from studio still life set ups to scenery on location. Her favorite medium for expressing her observations and ideas is watercolor. She likes both the technical challenge and expressiveness of watercolor. However, Storman satisfies her need for both a change in approach and results with the immediacy of pastels. Storman's realistic paintings display her strong sense of design and her sensitive handling of light and shadow. Storman has painted many beautiful home and garden scenes for satisfied patrons. This watercolor and pastel art exhibit can be seen at the Phelps Mansion Museum, 191 Court Street, Binghamton, NY 13901. The exhibit will be available for viewing through the months of January and February on Museum tour days--Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. as well as First Friday on February 3. On the February 3 First Friday, she will be joined by "Mosaic Winds", a woodwind quintet and a cello ensemble from the Binghamton Community Orchestra for your listening pleasure.
