August 6th, 2010 presents “Dance on the Walk” a ballroom dancing exhibition along with “Focus on the Arts” a painting exhibit by local Artist Nancy Goff beginning at 5:30 and running to 8:30pm. The USA Dance Chapter #3011 in collaboration with the Museum will perform different dance exhibitions every 15 minutes throughout the evening featuring the Hustle, Swing, Waltz, Merengue, Rueda, and the Argentine Tango. There will be Line dance lessons in the Mambo and the waltz. There will be free time for dancing in the ballroom.
Nancy Goff’s painting exhibit will be on display from August 6th through August 28th. Her paintings of oil and pastels can be figurative, still life or local scenes. In conjunction with “Dance on the Walk” Goff also focuses on the art of dancing. Her paintings are alive with movement and grace. She captures the drama of the dancer with color and artistic reality.
