Come and spend a 'Victorian Summer Day'
at the historic Phelps Mansion Museum!
Discover what it was like to live 100
years ago.
The morning features a mansion tour, a
scavenger hunt game to locate certain items of interest in the rooms of
the Mansion, and a sing-along of songs from the Victorian period.
Afternoon activities include games and
toys that were popular in the late 1800's and an art and craft session.
This special Victorian Day will be fun
and will also provide an interesting learning experience.
Children should bring a bag lunch to
enjoy in the glorious ballroom.
All participants will receive a booklet
of line drawings and the story of the Phelps Mansion. This is of special
interest, since the Mansion
has been placed on the National Register of Historic American Buildings
and is now a house museum chartered by the New York State Board of
Regents.
